![]() ![]() Internet Explorer 8.0 Update Chrome ForIt was annoying, and I turned it off. Every single time I open Chrome, it wants me to log in so it can track everything and sync my info. And usually, I have a destination in mind and want to get there ASAP. What's new in Google ChromeWhen I open a browser. Enable the "Automatically update Chrome for all users" option and restart Google Chrome on Mac. Select the "Help" then click on the "About Google Chrome’ option from the drop-down menu. I do, but then I have to authenticate it on my phone, and check the box to "Remember this device" 60 seconds later I can finally navigate where I wanted to go. Now, I open the browser, it opens a new tab. Then, they forced 2-step authentication on me. And the "remember this device thing doesn't work, so I have to do it every time. I still need to open it for certain sites that won't work on Safari, but that's the only time I bother.Google Chrome is full of it! Not more than a week ago I just happened to look through Launchpad and found a Google app icon sitting there. And it still doesn't remember my device despite the hundreds of times I've done it. It still needs 2-step authentication. It still wants me to log in. But guess what? Doesn't matter that I have them turned off. Guess what? Along with it, now I saw three other Google apps installed. WTH? Oh, I completely lost it! I thought to myself my computer, my Mac is hacked! I do not remember why, but I went back to Launchpad to look again at this Google app I DID NOT install. The only Google app that was there was Google Chrome. But guess what? It was not there. So I went to my Applications folder so I could uninstall it. But to my utter surprise another app from Google was just sitting there in Launchpad. No! They were no where in sight. In a complete rage I went back to my Applications folder to see if I could find any of these Google apps. My tongue unleashed every verbal slur I could against Google. I couldn't contain my anger. Not even two or three minutes went by and now four apps I DID NOT install were sitting there in Launchpad. Immediately I began uninstalling everything Google on my computer. Again, words cannot describe how pissed I was at this point. And guess what? They were in the Applications folder, but they were in a invisible/hidden folder named Google Apps. Finally, I was able to latch on to a single thought that I should do a Spotlight search to find out where these apps were hiding. Nonetheless, I do recall seeing Google Drive as one of the four. Lastly, I wish I could remember all of the names of Google apps that seemed to install themselves, but I was far to furious to think straight to remember. Also, you can do like I did after this horrible experience and go to the Web to read of similar experiences by other computer users that just happened upon Google apps suddenly appearing on their computers if my story is not enough to convince you to stay the hell away from Google. There is no need for me to tell Google to go to hell because that is already a certainty! This review also serves as fair warning to anyone with Google software installed on your computer(s). I can care less how much anyone else love's Google, neither do I care if they think their experience with this completely intrusive developer has been a bed of roses, and neither do I care if somewhere deep in the terms of service a statement exists giving Google permission to install whatever the hell they want any time they want. Parallels for mac upgrade 9 to 12It is a good thing Apple has this app called Launchpad because without it I would never have known Google violated my privacy, and installed apps without my consent. Anyone willing, and that is a keyword, willing to continue using Google apps on your computer will not get any flack from me, but I do recommend you get your head examined because you're an idiot! And that's your choice to live with Google putting invisible/hidden malware/spyware applications on your computer.
